Prizes & Awards: Medals, cash, scholarships, titles, diplomas and other prizes will be awarded to all competition categories. Only one prize of $10,000 (Grand Prix) will be awarded to an outstanding Male, Female, Pas de Deux or Group (Contingent upon Jury decision). A Grand Prix recipient will be retired from all awards in all future WBC competitions. Competitors who receive prizes (medals) and return to compete in subsequent competitions will only be awarded a prize if they exceed their original award.

  • Introductory & Preparatory Category: Competitors with the highest accumulated score will be eligible to win cash awards and/or other prizes.
  • Ensemble, Pre-Professional & Professional Categories: Competitors with the highest accumulated score will be eligible to win the Grand Prix and the other cash awards.
  • Pas de Deux Category: The top scored Pas de Deux will be eligible to win the Grand Prix and the other cash awards.
  • Choreography Award: To be eligible for this award, competitors must submit the Choreography Registration Form. Only Contemporary pieces are eligible to enter for this award. Choreography that has been previously awarded will not be considered for the Choreographer’s Award.

Medal Eligibility:

  • Bronze Medal - score of 8.0 and above
  • Silver Medal - score of 8.5 and above
  • Gold Medal - score of 9.0 and above

Individual Division

Separate prizes are awarded to females and males in Pre-Professional and Professional categories:

Professional Category

  • Gold Medal and $ 5,000;
  • Silver Medal and $3,000;
  • Bronze Medal and $ 2,000

Pre-Professional Category

  • Gold Medal and $ 2,500;
  • Silver Medal and $ 1,500;
  • Bronze Medal and $ 1,000

Preparatory Category

  • Gold Medal and $ 600;
  • Silver Medal and $ 400;
  • Bronze Medal and $ 200;

Introductory Category

  • Gold Medal and $ 300;
  • Silver Medal and $ 200;
  • Bronze Medal and $ 100;

Group Division

Ensemble Category:

  • Gold Medal and $ 2,500;
  • Silver Medal and $ 1,500;
  • Bronze Medal and $ 750;

Pas de Deux Category:

  • Gold Medal and $ 1,500;
  • Silver Medal and $ 1,000;
  • Bronze Medal and $ 500;
